Extracting Structure From Text as Questions, Entities, and Answers

One of the long-standing problems in AI is how to best represent information for information-seeking purposes - whether as text, a knowledge base, neural network parameters, or some combination of these.  I will briefly review this well-studied area and propose a new KB-like representation scheme which allows compositional reasoning with modular, independently verifiable knowledge components, and which provides good coverage for commonly asked questions.
