Kan K Devnani is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Computer Science/Mathematics and a minor in Jazz Performance. He has served as CEO of Comtex News Network since 2014 and Co-Founder/Managing Partner of Rainmaker Digital LLC since 2021. His entrepreneurial efforts have included software companies, a quantitative alternative asset management fund and real estate projects. Kan has extensive experience in technology, running real-time News engineering at FactSet Research Systems in the early 2000s, building for scale, redundancy and experienced at running operations for high performance systems. He has led development of quantitative trading systems, content distribution platforms, AI classification architectures with experience in back-end systems as well as web and mobile platforms.
Besides technology and content, Kan is passionate about mentorship, youth development and music. He has served at the Fiver Children’s Foundation for 10 years as a Board member and is currently serving on the Emeritus Board. He has served on the Board of the Downtown Soccer League for 7 years, coaching teams and acting as a division coordinator. He is an active saxophone player, appearing regularly at Saltwater Coffee and Wine Bar in NYC.
